Charles Amos is a Cape Town based artist. He started out studying Theology at Rhodes university graduating with aMaster’s Degree. Spending most of his time in the commercial world he stepped into the art world six years ago.Charles works mainly in oil on canvas and focuses on various subject matters. He is known for his cityscapes and brightly coloured landscapes. Not wanting to restrict himself he also explores figure studies and wildlife subjects too. One of the common themes in his work is a strong sense of light and a playful use of
colour. He has successfully exhibited with the South African Society of Artists
in Cape Town, the Royal Society of Oil Painters in London and with group
exhibitions at local Cape Town Galleries.
